Artist's Comments

What can I say about this piece...

Well, it started out over a year ago... I was inspired, then I got to some hard decisions to make about the placement of text and I filed it away for some time until I finally felt the urge to finish it.
I wanted to portray a strong, passionate, mutli-faceted woman, because I believe most of us are, or have the possibility of being. As you can see, the entire piece is made up only of text which was taken from snippets of poetry that I have written in the past.

I realize the image is huge, but it had to be in order for your to be able to read all of the text. I did not use any stock photos, and it was created in Illustrator CS.

*EDIT*

Thank you to =cyber-punk for pointing out a couple errors he found in the text. Also, thank you, ~ BratticusPsychosis for bringing to my attention that I typo'd concubine! I uploaded a fixed version cuz it drove me nuts knowing it was like that. And thanks for all the great comments and favs from everyone! I'm truly honored and so happy that this has been well recieved. Rock on! :headbang:

Wow. I first thought it was a pencil sketch when I saw the thumbnail. That's amazing work!

What a great idea!
Now I got to read her bodytalk.

Your best work yet I think. I like the way you created a shaded side to her and the form is right on. This I think was key. If the form wasn't right on the concept wouldn't have workrd. Nice job.
